The success or failure of a hoodie often depends on two factors. It extends from the shoulders to the chest, so the size is adjusted according to the size rather than being printed once and reused throughout the batch production; in a small size, the letters will crowd together, while in a large size, they will appear loose. Since there is no zipper, only the neck can be inserted: the pleats at the neckline and the weight of the double-layered hood determine whether it can be neatly zipped up and laid flat.

The body is wide and short enough to sit above the pocket line, so the mark stays whole instead of folding into a crease when the arms come forward. The hood is doubled, so it stands when up and sits heavy when down. The pocket takes a full hand, and the hem rib stops it riding up at the waist.

Autumn and spring, over a tee, and under a coat in deep winter. Fits campus, studio work, travel and weekday errands.
