The white line is a seam before it is a graphic: it closes a curved panel that wraps the thigh, so the seam has to be notched to lie flat, and the panel is cut on the same grain as the front or the curve pulls away at the knee. The stripes ride inside that panel, so their angle is set by the panel's edge, not by the waistband. At the hem, a cord and toggle let the same wide leg be gathered in.

The waist is elasticated and tied with its own cord, so nothing digs in when you sit, and the leg stays full from the seat down. The curved panel is where the cloth comes closest to the thigh, so a wide leg does not swing like a tent, and the hem cord lets the ankle be drawn in or left open.

Mild weather, and a warm room in winter. Made for the street, rehearsal rooms and long trips. Match it with a plain tee and a low trainer for the full width, or cinch both hems over a boot; keep the upper half simple, the side carries the line. Cut once, and the width falls true whatever the frame.
